Vin Tools Energy Amplifies Infrastructure Business with Two Substation Project Awards for Power Delivery
EPC firm to energize high-voltage pumping station and CDP in South Texas
HOUSTON, TX, October 17, 2024 – As part of its corporate strategy to serve the critical power industry with robust and reliable engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions, Vin Tools Energy is excited to announce two project awards for electrical infrastructure in South Texas. These projects include a high-voltage transmission line and substation to energize a pipeline pumping station, as well as a medium-voltage distribution line and substation for a central delivery point (CDP).
First, for a US energy infrastructure company, Vin Tools Energy will provide comprehensive EPC services from design to installation for a 1,200-ft, 138-kV transmission line, a 138-kV/4,160-V, 7.5-MVA temporary mobile substation, and a 138-kV/4,160-V permanent substation. The project is on an aggressive timeline, with the transmission line and mobile substation set to be energized within four months from the project award and the permanent substation within 12 months. The Vin Tools Energy power delivery team will engineer, install, and test a reliable temporary power solution to initially energize the facility, while simultaneously working on the permanent substation to minimize operational downtime.
Next, for a global energy provider, Vin Tools Energy will engineer a 25-kV distribution line and 3-MW substation to deliver power to a CDP collecting oil and gas from the Eagle Ford Shale. The substation engineering scope includes thorough power system analysis, relay coordination, and detailed design for a new overhead utility power feed and distribution transformer.
“We are excited to overcome the challenges prevalent in power supply chains and bring modern, resilient solutions for these customers,” commented Scott Salter, Vin Tools Energy’s Director of Power and Utilities.
“These substation projects are fantastic opportunities to showcase our multidisciplinary proficiencies for the utility market, while contributing to the delivery of critical energy resources.”
These electric substation projects expand Vin Tools Energy’s portfolio in the manufacturing and infrastructure market, where the company also provides solutions for data centers and food and beverage manufacturers. As a full-service EPC provider across multiple sectors and regions, Vin Tools Energy is committed to delivering the future of energy and industry.
